Caroline has extensive experience in the horticulture sector gaining formal Horticultural management qualifications at Sydney University & teaching qualifications from University of South Australia.

She lectures and assesses in the production and amenity horticulture program.

Plain Background

Colin Cook – Lecturer / Assessor

Colin has over 30 years of experience in the education and training sector. He initiated “on farm training”, in the Mid North of SA in 1986. This training methodology is still widely in use today.

Colin facilitated and lectured in farm management for 10 years across regional SA. In the early 1990s he developed several farm business management video teaching resources which have been utilised nationally.

With an outstanding track record of introducing innovative training methodologies. He introduced mobile computer training across regional Australia 1994–2002, introduced open learning Conservation and Land Management delivery  1995–2001.

Trudy Trudy Docking – Lecturer / Assessor – Traineeships

Trudy is passionate about the Traineeship Program and is dedicated to ensuring that RST offers a wide range of opportunities for our trainees from across regional South Australia. She will explore all avenues to provide trainees with options to build their skills, experience and qualifications, and supports them and their employer in their journey through their traineeship.

Qualifications:

– Graduate Certificate in Business Management (Rural and Regional Sectors)
– Diploma in Rural Business Management

Jodie Jones – Lecturer / Assessor

Jodie's friendly and approachable personality along with organisational skills make for a great learning experience for students.  She began as a student with RST and now enjoys her role as Eyre Peninsula Traineeship Coordinator and Spray Solutions Lecturer.

Jodie manages a farming property at Wharminda on Eyre Peninsula with her husband and has over 20 years experience in the agri industry.  Jodie believes in the retention of youth in our rural and regional areas and the opportunities through RST to gain industry recognised qualifications.

Harvey

Harvey Chenoweth – Lecturer

Harvey has over 35 years regional administrative experience gained from roles within local government, state government, agribusiness and rural finance.

He has previously worked for Landmark and ANZ Bank where he dealt extensively with a broad range of segments within the rural sector.

Harvey has a high customer focus along with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in regional issues.

Tanya Cook – Assessor

Tanya has over 30 years  experience in all facets of administration in small business and in the public sector. For the last 10 years she has worked in VET program support providing assistance to students, preparing course materials and ensuring compliance with all AQTF standards.
Tanya is very approachable and happy to receive any feedback regarding your training experience with RST. We want to maintain and improve the training and service RST provide you and future students.

Michelle Brenton – Assessor

Michelle and her husband have established and own a small vineyard in the Mid North. They also own and operate a Land Management business.  She is an easy going, practical person who loves the country lifestyle, and is inspired by the opportunities for horticultural and agricultural diversity.

– Apprenticeship Amenity Horticulture ( Botanic Gardens of S.A.)
– Diploma Rural Business Management (RST)
